The Mount Players Youth Theatre
Where Creativity and Confidence Grow
The Mount Players Youth Theatre offers a vibrant and supportive space for young people in the Macedon Ranges to explore their creativity, build new skills, and make lasting friendships—all while stepping into the exciting world of theatre.
Held at the Mountview Theatre, 56 Smith Street, Macedon, next to Jubilee Hall, our workshops provide a hands-on, engaging experience for students of all ages.
Our sessions focus on stage acting while providing the opportunity for exposure to a wide range of other vital theatre skills.
We’re proud to bring in guest leaders—industry professionals who share their specialised knowledge and experience. Many of these guests have been long-time members of The Mount Players and are passionate about passing on their expertise.
Youth members also have the chance to be part of the major productions at the theatre, both on and off stage. Previous opportunities have included roles in TMP’s productions of The Sound of Music, The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie, and The Offshore Island. Several of our youth members have gone on to take lead roles as adults, both at TMP and in theatres across the region.
Joining MPYT is not just about theatre—it’s an incredible opportunity to boost self-confidence, discover new talents, and embark on exciting experiences. We invite all young aspiring artists to be part of something special!
