2025 Annual General Meeting

The 2025 Annual General Meeting of The Mount Players Incorporated will be held at the Mountview Theatre, 56 Smith Street, Macedon on the 14th February 2025

The AGM will include reports from the President and Treasurer on the activities of 2024, as well as the election of General Committee members for 2025.

All members are invited and encouraged to attend.

Please arrive by 7:00 pm for a 7.30 pm meeting start. We look forward to seeing you there! 

Election of Members to the Committee

Members are invited to nominate for Committee membership (not for specific positions such as President or Secretary). The Nomination Form is available for download here.

Eligibility to Nominate or Be Nominated

To nominate or be nominated, all candidates must:

  • Be 18 years of age or older

  • Be paid-up members of The Mount Players for 2025 (as per the Rules of Incorporation Pg 17, Item 49). Membership is valid from January 1st, 2025 to December 31st, 2025.

Membership Deadline

Membership must be purchased at least 10 business days prior to the AGM to nominate or be nominated, in accordance with the Rules of Association, Pg 5, Item 13 2b, General Rights of Members.

Nominations

Nominations do not require a seconder but must include the signature of the person nominating or being nominated.

  • Self-nominations are welcome.

  • All 2024 Committee members are eligible for re-nomination.

Once the 2025 Committee members have been nominated and accepted, the election of office bearers (President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer) will take place internally among the incoming 2025 Committee members.

Submission of Nomination Forms

Nomination forms can be submitted in the following ways:

  • Mailed to The Returning Officer, PO Box 216, Macedon 3440

  • Emailed to secmountplayers@gmail.com

  • Handed in to the Secretary or AGM Chairperson 15 minutes before the meeting begins.

Voting at the Annual General Meeting

Eligibility to Vote

Members under the age of 15 are not eligible to vote at the AGM (as outlined in the Rules of Incorporation, Pg 6, Item 14).

Voting Rights

Each eligible member has one vote, and voting can be done in person or by proxy.

Voting by Proxy

If you are unable to attend the AGM, you may appoint another member to vote and speak on your behalf. To appoint a proxy, you must complete the Proxy Appointment Form and submit it to the Secretary or AGM Chairperson before or at the start of the meeting.
